This fall, Honorable Menschen is auditioning for ALL VOICE PARTS! Auditions will be held by appointment the evenings of Sunday, November 2 (6-10pm) and Wednesday, November 5 (7-9pm), 2008. Honorable Menschen's membership consists of graduate students and young professionals, many of whom are alumni of college a cappella groups. We generally rehearse one evening a week, 7:00-9:30pm (currently on Sundays), in various members' homes. We sing a diverse repertoire of Jewish, Israeli, and World music -- from traditional synagogue tunes to Israeli pop to jazz and beyond -- in English, Hebrew, Ladino, Luganda, and Yiddish. Audition slots will be approximately 15 minutes long. We will lead you through some informal vocal exercises and range testing; please also come prepared with a short piece (memorized is nice but not necessary) to sing a cappella.
